Rebates - Explained

Right now is the best time possible to invest in Solar in Pennsylvania and in Philadelphia.  The Pennsylvania rebate combined with the Federal Tax credit can cut the costs of the system by over 50%.  The Pennsylvania rebate is $2.25/watt of installed solar power.  That means a 2000 watt system will get $4500 back. The PA program is in Tier 1 of four Tiers, which tells us that there is still adequate money in the program.  The homeowner will need to utilize a certified installer that is listed in the PA Sunshine Program in order to qualify for the rebate check.   Typically the installer/designer will prepare these documents for the homeowner.  The federal program offers a flat 30% tax credit for the total costs of the system.
